AN EVENING FOR EDUCATION
FUNDRAISING EVENT. MARCH 6, 2026
“An Evening for Education” was a charity event hosted March 6th, 2026, at Freeman’s Auction House in New York City to support UWS USA’s mission of achieving Zero Education Poverty in Madagascar, Myanmar, Nepal, and Cambodia.
Guests enjoyed a paddle raise, live auction, exclusive tours, and wine tasting, helping to raise funds and awareness for programs that provide children in remote communities with access to education. The event also highlighted strong collaboration among partners, whose contributions helped bring the evening to life.
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
UWS USA Executive Director Francesca Lanning introduced Board Member Marianne Yayane Verbuyt, who delivered a moving speech highlighting the importance of global education and girls’ empowerment in honour of International Women’s Day.
ZERO EDUCATION POVERTY
UWS USA trustees Jean-Christian Agid and Philippe Delouvrier played an active role during the event. Agid contributed to the fundraising efforts by donating one of his photographs, “I Hate My X,” which was auctioned during the evening. Delouvrier, a renowned businessman and trustee, took time to socialise with UWS USA guests, introducing them to the organisation’s mission of achieving zero education poverty.
ONLY IN NEW YORK CITY
Attendance strongly resonated with UWS USA’s mission, with guests generously offering donations throughout the evening. Many expressed their delight in being part of this important cause, helping provide every child in Madagascar, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Nepal with the opportunity to read, write, count, and dream.
